Powershift: NexGen Builders Youth Policy Table

TCBN is looking for Youth Delegates, to join our Youth Policy Table.  Organizations that are invested in equity-deserving groups accessing good jobs in the construction sector, are encouraged to refer youth delegates. We are seeking referrals of Black, Indigenous, and other racialized (BIPOC) youth aged 16-25.

Our ideal candidate will be interested in the construction industry and advancing community benefits agreements in the sector. Other attributes include willingness to share their perspective on barriers to accessing jobs and an interest in working on a team to create solutions.

How does an organization refer a delegate?

Interested organizations will attend an information session to learn more about the Youth Policy Table. Organizations may invite interested youth to accompany them to attend the information session. 

Youth Delegates will have the opportunity to: 

• Collaborate with other youth in a systems-change environment. 
• Become knowledgeable about Community Benefits Agreements, in the policy environment.
• Develop standards and best practices for Community Benefits Agreements.
• Build networks that will strengthen their access to leadership opportunities.
